Position: Counselor
Duties Include: Living in cabin with campers, maintaining control over cabin in all camp activities, and helping in program leadership. Counselors are asked to take an active role in the successful operation and management of camp with both programmatic and functional responsibilities. In addition, counselors assist in other camp duties as needed.

Position: Horseback Director
Duties Include: Duties include taking care of 8 horses and teaching children ages 5 to 15 to ride.  Also responsible for the Wrangler specialty camp with children that have a strong interest in horseback.  In addition, horseback director will assist in other camp duties as needed.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Qualifications: Must be 21 years or older, equestrian teaching experience required.

Position: Waterfront Director 
Duties Include: Supervising the safe and efficient operation of the waterfront program area - including the swimming area, ski and tubing boats, and all non-motorized watercraft.   Maintaining equipment and program areas.  Supervising lifeguards - ensuring the safety of all swimmers and boaters at all times.  The waterfront director will also assist in the implementation of the summer camp program and assist in other camp duties as needed.
Qualifications: Must be 21 years or older, Lifeguard certification and experience required

Position: Boat Driver/Ski Instructor 
Duties Include: The boat driver operates and maintains the Ski Nautique ski boat and the Bayliner deck boat, teaches ski lessons, and is a cabin counselor. In addition, the boat driver will help in other camp duties as needed.
Qualifications: Must be 17 years or older, possess a valid boating license, have strong patience, and experience driving a Ski Nautique and facilitating ski lessons preferred

Position: Dining Hall Director
Duties Include: Supervising counselors in the dining hall, managing LIT workload, and working with the LIT director to provide adequate supervision, instruction, and leadership development opportunities within the dining hall for the LITs.  Managing daily meals for all campers and user groups.  Setting, serving, and cleaning for each meals in the Dining Hall and working with the Camp Cooks to ensure adequate food preperation and quality.  Facilitating Camp Store distribution and management of food and souvenir products as well as managing the Summer Feeding Program in the Dining Hall.  The Dining Hall director will also be available to the Program Director to assist with other camp duties as needed.

Duties Include: Working with Dining Hall Director to ensure efficient operation in kitchen and dining hall during meal times for both Camp Chandler campers and all user groups.  Assisting in managing inventory and camp store operation as well as ensuring staff and LITs are effectively exectuting necessary duties in both the dining hall, serving room, and dish area.  The Assistant Dining Hall Director will also help administer the Summer Feeding Program and be available to the Program Director to assist with other camp duties as needed.

Duties Include: Capturing daily camp activities on camera and creating keepsake slideshows to display the week at camp for campers and parents.  Updating the camp website daily with stories and photos of the day.  Organizing and distributing camper mail each day and compiling awards for ceremony concluding each camp week.  The media director also assists with the daily office needs of camp operation and participates in program planning and impementation as needed. 
Qualifications: 18 years or older with photography experience and excellent computer skills

Duties Include:  Supervising all operations of the high ropes course, low ropes course, and climbing wall.  The Adventure Director will also assist in the development and implementation of the Extreme program while being cabin counselor and assisting in other camp duties as needed. 
Qualifications: 18 years or older, previous belaying experience and a love for the extreme outdoors required

Duties Include:  Supervising and managing the Leader in Training (LIT) program for campers ages 15.  Develops and implements programming for leadership development and assists with the successful execution of camp-wide nighttime programming.  The LIT Director also assists the program director with other camp duties as needed.  
Qualifications: 18 years or older, strong leadership skills required, camp experience preferred

Position:  S.W.A.T.  (Servants Working All Together)
Position Details:  This new program in 2010 offers past LIT participants and future camp counselors an excellent stepping stone between camper and counselor.   SWAT members will not pay to participate in the program nor will they be payed as an employee.  This important step in the maturation process and personal development of our future counselors allows for an intense summer of responsibility individual growth.  SWAT members will be given a role behind-the-scenes of Camp Chandler assisting with integral infrastructure tasks that help keep camp opperating so well.  In addition, SWAT members will be given an opportunity to learn to instruct the many programatic activities offered at camp.  Camper supervision and quality experience is a key to our camp's success, and this program will help build the counselors of tomorrow that keep this high standard of excellence present in all things.  There is neither charge nor compensation for participation in this unique program - please apply online or call the office for more details at 334.229.0035.
